Worth the Wait is working to help teens, parents and the community work together to educate, equip and empower the teens of the Texas Panhandle to choose abstinence and make healthy life choices. Through Amarillo On Board we can continue to help teens make good decisions. We currently teach lessons to almost 10,000 teens. It costs only $57 per student for an entire year of abstinence education. That's less than a dinner and a movie for a family of four!
Who We Are
WTW has served as the organizational catalyst in bringing together community-wide efforts to promote abstinence until marriage education. Establishing early teen sexual involvement as a youth risk behavior and public health concern has enabled WTW to enlist medical professionals, social workers, teachers and the community at large. Thus, WTW advocates a teamwork approach that emphasizes the idea of informed teen decision making in the avoidance of all high-risk behaviors. WTW's main focus is to educate, equip and empower the teens of the Texas Panhandle to choose abstinence and make healthy life choices.
